Smart Bathroom Mirror with Time Display

This Smart Bathroom Mirror with Time Display shows the time right on the mirror surface. The mirror uses a 5mm copper-free silver mirror with a ground edge. The time display area sits in the middle or bottom right corner (position is customizable). In the morning, you can check the time while brushing your teeth. No need to reach for your phone. In the evening, you can track how long you have been in the bath. This simple feature makes a big difference. Customers who get used to it say they cannot go back to a regular mirror.

The time display works by laser-etching the coating off a small area on the mirror back. Then we attach an LED digital tube behind that area. The light from the tube shines through the etched area. The numbers look like they are floating on the mirror. They are clear but not too bright. We use high-brightness red or white LED tubes. They are visible even in bright daylight. At night, the brightness automatically lowers through a light sensor. The display brightness links to the main light. When you dim the main light, the display dims too.

The time display module has a high-precision clock chip. The time error is within ±1 second per day. The clock chip has a battery backup. When the mirror loses power, the clock chip keeps running on a button cell battery. It can keep time for up to 3 months without main power. If the power is off for longer than 3 months, the battery drains. After power returns, you need to reset the time. Setting the time is simple. Hold the time set button. The hour digits flash. Tap to increase the hour. Hold again to switch to minutes. Same process. The whole setup takes less than 30 seconds.

The time display and the main light are controlled separately. You can keep the time display on all the time (it turns on when power is supplied). Or you can set it to turn on only when you tap a switch. We recommend the first option. The time numbers use very little power. Leaving them on 24/7 costs almost nothing. At night, the dim time display gives you just enough light to see the bathroom. You do not need to turn on the main light. Your sleep is not disturbed.
